Tattooing teaches you some mistakes are easy to make, and hard to fix.

Tattooing will teach you many amazing lessons, some whether you like them or not. This powerful art inherently changes the wearer and after hearing amazing stories about the transformative powers of tattooing both good and bad, there is no denying some life lessons tattooing will teach you. One of the lessons I learned well is that "Mistakes are easy to make, and hard to fix". Because of the long lasting nature of tattooing your skin, and the fact no one is born an expert in art or tattooing, it is very easy and common to get bad tattoos that you will be looking at until your dying day, or until that limb gets chopped off, or the skin ground down.

Get the perfect tattooThe first few years I was getting tattooed I made many mistakes, and have watched countless others follow the same path. Instead of getting a tattoo sized to fit my body part, I'd get something smaller to "test the waters". Then, as had been foretold, when I wanted a tattoo that fit that body part there was something already there to consider. I did this on my hand my arm, hand, leg and back... There are many other mistakes we see people make everyday, and if there were anything we could do to help others not follow in some of the routine mistakes, well, I suppose these blogs will be us doing our part!

"Getting the Perfect Tattoo" was written to answer many questions and help people avoid making tattoo mistakes. The good news is, after a few years I realized that getting tattooed by the very best tattoo artists was not out of the question, so I had to first understand the mistakes I had made, come up with a good plan, and then laser the hell out of any tattoo that wasn't going to be perfect. It took a few years, and lasering feels like someone is burning the ink out from the inside, but I have been able to fix many of my mistakes. So, despite what my Mom warned me, mistakes can be fixed, if you ware willing to endure what it takes to make penance with the tattoo gods. And man, are they are brutal!
