Don't you? Portrait tattoos have obviously spiked in popularity in the past fews years, so much so it's even gained nicknames including "California Tribal." We're lucky to have tons of amazingly well executed portrait tattoos uploaded to TattooNOW everyday. While this style of tattooing seems to be sweeping the nation, what we only see once in a blue is when tattoo artists actually get to tattoo a self portrait on someone else. I love all my tattooers, but I can't say I love any of them THAT much, nonetheless here's some artists who were lucky enough to be able to take on such a unique tattoo project.

Mike DeVries did this photo realistic portrait tattoo of himself with a exaggerated color scheme.

For Bob Tyrell it seems to be easy to find a slew of people that want his portrait on them, so for me the hard part was picking just one. This Franken-Bob tattoo took the cake for me though.

And hands down, my favorite self portrait tattoo goes to Kyle Cotterman. A portrait tattoo of himself, tattooing a portrait of himself. I'm not even sure if thats the adequate way to explain what's happening in this tattoo, but nonetheless it's completely badass.

Lastly I had to throw in some incredible paintings tattooers have done of themselves. Christian Perez recently uploaded this alien version of himself, and of course the incredibly talented Shawn Barber couldn't be left out of the mix. Lets just consider it practice for the day someone asks them for a tattoo of them.
