Ocean + Space: PROCESS Client gave me full creative freedom to design their lower leg. The ocean and outer space are connected in a lot of ways-scientifically, physically, and even psychologically. The crushing pressure, the darkness, the isolation, the beginning of life. Standing at the edge of the ocean and looking into the night sky activates similar psychological responses in us- awe mixed with uncertainty, and yet somehow peace, a connectivity to something larger, a oneness. I wanted this tattoo black and grey tattoo to represent that which we feel, that which we are surrounded by and that which we don’t quite have all the answers to.
