A color tattoo inspired by the many visits to the…

A color tattoo inspired by the many visits to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. A fragment of art history ‘painted’ on skin with the classical theme of ‘vanitas’- portraying the shortness of life, and the certainty of death. The skull and the flowers symbolizing our temporary presence and its fragile beauty. Swipe through the carousel to see the direct inspiration from the museum- a crystal skull pendant from the 16th century, and a little box of tea (as well as the proud ‘canvas’ of this tattoo).
